They actually had the kids do a taste test. They got to taste pure maple syrup from New Hampshire, Vermont, local, and store bought imitation.
Our library had a presentation on the process of making maple syrup. A resident who lives across the street from the library has five large sugar maple trees. He gave us a tour of his trees and introduced us to the skill of making maple syrup. We had a great time and learned a lot.
