Louisville, Kentucky

The kids and I took a field trip to Louisville, Kentucky today to visit with friends we knew from St. Louis who recently relocated to Kentucky.  We are excited to have them living just a little over two hours away.  We went with them to a museum near their home.  We toured the "American Printing House for the Blind" learning about Louis Braille and seeing how they print books in braille.  The kids really enjoyed the museum especially the braille machines where they could punch out their names in braille.  The girls spent the whole trip back working on a message in braille that they were given at the museum.  Camille couldn't wait to tell Ben that she knew how to do something that he didn't!  :)

After the museum we headed to our friend's home for some serious play time!  Kids sure know how to play don't they?  One of the activities they did was play in this little kiddie pool to cool off.
Thanks Karen for a great time!
