We said good bye to our one Buff Orpington rooster, who we named Fred! He was very pretty but not very nice. He did his job well of protecting his hens but I was often pecked. I would have to enter the coop with a broom in hand as he always charged me when I attempted to get the eggs or give more food. We found someone who wanted him so hopefully he is enjoying his new home. We will miss his morning crowing, but maybe our neighbors won't :).

Look how big and mature your chicks are!!!! My roommate from college who lives in California has also gotten some chickens.... All these people with farm pets only makes Daniel want some even more!!! (although he seems to be fixated on goats, especially)
