Baby raccoons, story continues . . .

We have three families living in this area of the woods, we all share the same lane. It is basically like a street with three houses. Anyway, we found out that our other neighbor has been trapping raccoons (so sad) and has caught nine! It looks like he must have trapped a mother raccoon. These babies started to come out of their nest because they were hungry. Three of them did not survive the night. The two we saw up in the tree ended up falling out and dying and the other one was in bad shape. So there is only one baby raccoon left. We contacted a local wildlife service that will care for them and then return them to the wild. We hope our neighbors choose to take care of this baby raccoon through this service. We just feel like we all should be able to live peaceably together.
