We thought we would share a photo of the baby chicks after one week. They are no longer just a ball of fur. They have already started to get feathers on their wings and tail. They are preening and digging (although they are still in a box so they are not finding any good bugs to eat yet!). It is amazing how instinct kicks in almost immediately. They are sure cute and we all continue to enjoy them. Their chirping is really a sweet sound to my ears. We had to move them into a larger "brooder". We still have them in our school room.
