Christmas morning . . .
Hawaiian Barbecued Shrimp Salad with
Papaya-Pineapple Marmalade
(from Sam Choy's Island Flavors cookbook)
The kids woke up at 6:45 a.m. and shortly thereafter we began opening our stockings followed by their presents. It was a fun morning filled with a lot of smiles and laughter.
Favorite gifts . . . clip on earrings for the girls and a large dump truck and front loader for the boys.
We enjoyed doing puzzles, playing games, talking to family and eating too many treats.
Ben ended our day by giving us the gift of his yummy cooking. This year he went Hawaiian and made us a yummy shrimp salad which was delicious.

Sounds fun! We had a quiet Christmas after our wild Christmas eve dinner with 22 people in the house (it was fun) and we were glad that we stuck to our plan this year of one big get-together at our house and no other commitments.
Your Christmas meal looked delicious and beautiful too! Great job Ben!
